Montagne Powers Announces Internship Program with Saint Anselm College

Manchester, NHMontagne Powers, northern New England’s leading strategic communications firm, is partnering with Saint Anselm College, one of the region’s leading liberal arts institutions, to launch a first-of-its-kind internship program designed to immerse students in the dynamic world of strategic communications and public affairs.

The program represents a unique collaboration between industry and academia, providing students with direct access to the fast-paced environment of a full-service agency, and opportunities to work on real client projects. Participants will dive into projects spanning public relations, corporate communications, digital and social media, public affairs, community relations, and marketing, all while learning from the experts behind some of the region’s most recognized brands and organizations. In addition to gaining valuable skills and experience, students will walk away with a portfolio of work to help launch their professional post-graduate careers.

“I was able to launch my career thanks to an internship I identified while studying at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics – and it changed the course of my life,” said E.J. Powers, Partner at Montagne Powers, Saint Anselm College alumnus and former Alumni Council member. “Our agency has long welcomed interns from St. A’s and found them to be exceptionally smart, curious and motivated. We are passionate about creating the same opportunities for the next generation and helping students get their start in the industry.”

The Montagne Powers – Saint Anselm College internship will be open to all rising juniors and seniors at the college with a focus on politics and communications majors. Students accepted into the program will work alongside seasoned professionals on client accounts across sectors such as state government, finance, nonprofits, hospitality, real estate development, healthcare, manufacturing and higher education, among others. Interns will draft media materials, conduct research, curate digital content, engage with media, and support client events, while developing critical skills that prepare them for leadership in communications, public affairs, and beyond.

“Saint Anselm College is pleased to partner with Montagne Powers to offer this exceptional internship opportunity to our students – some of whom, like E.J. Powers, may go on to become future leaders in strategic communications,” said Max Latona, Ph.D., Executive Director of Partnerships and Professor at Saint Anselm College. “We are grateful for E.J.’s continued commitment to the College and look forward to supporting our students as they learn and grow through this program.”
