World’s Top Winemakers to Attend New Hampshire Wine Week

NH Wine Week features dozens of world-renowned winemakers and industry leaders for exclusive wine dinners, bottle signings, tastings and the 18th annual New England Wine Spectacular

Concord, NH – New Hampshire Wine Week is back and better than ever, with some of the most distinguished names in the wine world attending. The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) is hosting the event of the summer for any and all wine-lovers, June 12 through June 16. New Hampshire Wine Week has a new look and will be celebrated at a new time of year. For the first time in 17 years, it will be held in June rather than January. NHLC has rescheduled New Hampshire Wine Week in order for attendees from all over the state to experience the amazing events during the best time of year.

A variety of wine tastings, dinners, bottle signings and educational seminars will take place, culminating with northern New England’s largest showcase of wine, the New England Wine Spectacular. New Hampshire Wine Week will feature nearly 35 of the world’s top winemakers, including Cristina Mariani-May of Castello Banfi, Lisa Evich of SIMI Winery, Andrea Cecchi of Cecchi Winery, Wendy Lange of Lange Estate Winery and Vineyard, and Peter Merriam of Merriam Vineyards. The 18th annual New England Wine Spectacular, which benefits the New Hampshire Food Bank, features more than 1,700 wines for sampling. For event details, tickets, and the full list of winemakers for this sure-to-sell-out event, visit https://www.nhwineweek.com/.

“New Hampshire Wine Week is a unique opportunity for our consumers to taste some of the best wines in the world while meeting with the experts and makers behind these top brands. You will not want to miss it,” said NHLC Chairman Joseph Mollica. “Anyone who enjoys wine or wants to learn more can join us in immersing themselves in the world of wine, while also supporting the New Hampshire Food Bank.”

NHLC will also host, “Perfect Pairings,” a delicious and educational multi-course sampling of Italian food and wine on Wednesday, June 14, from 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM at the Manchester Country Club. Castello Banfi President and CEO Cristina Mariani-May, award-winning chef and restaurant pioneer, Ed Aloise and Manchester Country Club Executive Chef Dan Henry will provide guests with a custom tasting menu and a sampling of Banfi wines as they discuss Italian food and wine. Tickets can be purchased for $125 each at www.nhwineweek.com.

In addition, New Hampshire Wine Week features a selection of dozens of wine dinners, tastings and bottle signings taking place throughout the state.

New England Wine Spectacular

The 18th annual New England Wine Spectacular is the premier event of New Hampshire Wine Week, as it boasts an exclusive array of hundreds of wines for sampling and features delicious local food, a silent auction and the Bellman Cellar Select VIP tasting room, which features hundreds of ultra-premium wines and even more exciting cuisine. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from nearly 35 internationally known wine personalities during the event, which takes place on Thursday, June 15, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown, 700 Elm Street in Manchester.

Tickets for the Grand Tasting cost $65 per person and tickets providing access to Bellman’s Cellar Select (which includes access to the Grand Tasting) cost $135 per person.

Proceeds from the New England Wine Spectacular benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank, which works to distribute nutritious food and resources to New Hampshire residents in need. In 2022, as the state’s only Food Bank, the New Hampshire Food Bank procured and provided more than 16 million pounds of non-perishable food items, fresh produce, and meats to more than 400 nonprofit food agencies in all corners of New Hampshire.

“We are grateful to continue our partnership with NHLC to fight hunger in the Granite State,” said Eileen Liponis, Executive Director, New Hampshire Food Bank. “An estimated 7% of all New Hampshire residents, including approximately 9.5% of children, struggle with food insecurity, meaning they do not know when or where their next meal will come from. The support from NHLC and the New England Wine Spectacular will be essential to providing nutritious meals to individuals and families in need. We encourage the public to attend, enjoy the exclusive event, and support our efforts to end hunger in New Hampshire.”
