Nearly 70 Restaurant take part in Fourth Annual NH Mocktail Month
NH Business Review Staff
The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) has been teaming up this month with Brown-Forman and nearly 70 local restaurants to mix up alcohol-free mocktails in celebration of the fourth annual New Hampshire Mocktail Month.
New Hampshire Mocktail Month is the latest evolution of “Live Free & Host Responsibly,” a multi-year collaboration between NHLC and Brown-Forman, one of the largest American-owned spirits and wine companies, NHLC said in a news release.
The program was launched in 2016 to promote responsible service and consumption of alcohol. Several Brown-Forman brands are highlighted in this year’s campaign, including Jack Daniel’s, Herradura, Korbel and Chambord.
“Our partnership with Brown-Forman and its brands allows us to educate consumers about the responsible use of alcohol,” said New Hampshire Liquor Commission Chairman Joseph Mollica said in a statement. “New Hampshire Mocktail Month helps create a safer drinking environment for those choosing not to imbibe. We are proud to team up with Brown-Forman and dozens of New Hampshire restaurants to encourage responsible consumption.”
An online recipe guide is available for download at www.liquorandwineoutlets.com/responsibility, enabling consumers to craft and enjoy mocktails at home or visit their favorite New Hampshire bars and restaurants.

Earlier this year, StateWays Magazine awarded New Hampshire Mocktail Month “Best On-Premise Partnership” in its annual Control State Best Practices Awards. StateWays Magazine, the only nationwide magazine devoted to issues and subjects impacting the beverage alcohol control state system, has recognized NHLC for eight consecutive years.
“Alcohol responsibility is where it all starts for us, and it’s the seed from which all our commitments grow and reach into the future,” said Tiffany Drury, senior alcohol responsibility specialist at Brown-Forman in a statement. “We believe that it is our duty to ensure our products are being marketed and enjoyed responsibly. It is an honor to be a partner in this award-winning program that encourages awareness and empowers mindful choices.”
As part of the initiative, NHLC is also encouraging those who visit participating restaurants to share their experiences on social media by tagging @nhliquorwine in photos of their mocktail and adding the hashtag #NHMocktailMonth to their caption.
