Montagne Powers Hires Kelly Scargill as Senior Account Director and Chloe Knuckles as Senior Account Executive
Montagne Powers, New England’s leading full-service public relations and strategic communications firm, has further expanded its expertise by hiring communications professional Kelly Scargill as senior account director and Chloe Knuckles as senior account executive. Scargill and Knuckles bring a depth of strategic communications and public relations experience in agency and in-house roles.
In her role, Scargill, who has more than 20 years of experience, counsels clients, oversees accounts and leads strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications and thought leadership programs. Previously, she served as executive director of public relations and communications for SolutionHealth, which was co-founded by Elliot Health System and Southern New Hampshire Health. Prior to SolutionHealth, Scargill spent 10 years at Keene State College serving as director of strategic communications and community relations. She worked in the advocacy space for the Ocean Conservancy and First Book in Washington, D.C. Scargill practiced public relations in the tech industry in California, where she also began her career with some of the country’s largest advertising and PR agencies. Scargill graduated from The George Washington University with a master’s degree in public administration, and the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in communications and business.
Knuckles, in her Montagne Powers role, leads media relations, content creation, and messaging efforts, helping clients elevate their visibility through thoughtful storytelling and targeted outreach. She is especially passionate about helping clients earn meaningful media coverage and seeing their stories come to life in headlines. Prior to joining Montagne Powers, Knuckles spent five years at Cru of Two, a boutique public relations agency in Boston, where she supported a range of lifestyle and consumer brands across the footwear, food, home décor, sustainability and higher education sectors. During her time there, Knuckles secured national media coverage, developed and executed strategic media outreach plans, coordinated press interviews, and supported experiential events designed to build brand awareness. She also assisted with both proactive communications and crisis communications efforts, helping organizations navigate complex media situations with clarity and care. Knuckles graduated from Gordon College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Art.
“The additions of Kelly and Chloe demonstrate our focus on growing the depth and breadth of expertise across our team. Their expertise working with a variety of industries, and their deep experience in public relations and strategic communications, are incredibly valuable to our clients and partners,” said E.J. Powers, Partner at Montagne Powers.
